How to participate in IETS

Progress in energy technology is critical to achieve the collective objectives of energy security, environmental protection, and economic and social development among countries.

Energy technology innovation is occurring in an interconnected world in which isolated national efforts are no longer sufficient. National energy R&D and demonstration programmes gain impact when incorporated into the larger context of international interdependence. Worldwide collaboration is needed to prepare any practical response to global environment issues.

The Mission of the IETS program is to foster international cooperation among OECD and non-OECD countries for accelerated research and technology development of industrial energy-related technologies. The work included in IETS ranges from specific developments of process or energy technologies to overall system aspects, in which energy efficiency is an important part, for practically all types of industry.
