Digitalization, Artificial Intelligence and Related Technologies for Energy Efficiency and GHG Emissions Reduction in Industry

Whether it is generated from renewable or non-renewable sources, the efficient use of energy is recognized as one of the main pillars to achieve a sustained reduction of GHG emissions in the industry. Energy-intensive process sectors such as the mining and smelting, oil and gas, or forestry are increasingly incorporating advanced systems to capture data across the supply chain in order to enhance operational, tactical, and business decisions. Task XVIII of the Industrial Energy-Related Technologies and Systems (IETS) program has the objective to assemble a network of industrial, research and academic leaders in the fields of digitalization and AI, with the common goal of advancing knowledge and development of digitalization, artificial intelligence and related technologies to improve the economic and environmental performance of targeted energy and GHG-intensive industries.
Task XVIII is organizing two Information Seminars to present an overview of sub-Tasks recently developed with potential participants.
